The Emergency Management Division utilizes an all hazards approach to emergency planning and responses includes threats from Natural and weather related disasters such as hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, snow and ice storms along with Man-made or technological emergencies such as major fires, mass casualty incidents, hazardous materials incidents and acts of terrorism.
The Emergency Management Division is responsible for the Coordination of all local, state and federal emergency response agencies and for Maintaining a coordinated, accurate, consistent flow of information and instructions to the Citizens of King George County.
Planning, continuous training and teamwork between the public and private sector have been the key to a quick response and successful recovery from past disasters that have impacted our County.
